Here and Now
“Here and Now” draws on acoustic and electric music, drum 'n' bass, Latin, Indian and minimalist influences. Pawel Ignatowicz's instrumental range is equally broad: his improvisations use electric and acoustic guitar, guitar synthesizer and electric sitar. He is joined by Ferenc Nemeth on drums, Julian Shore on piano and keyboards, Edward Perez on double bass and Jonathan Singer on tabla. The album sounds fresh and contemporary, yet for all its acoustic variety and melodic design it stays within the tradition and roots of jazz.
